Details of how to use our map are below the map.
Our interactive map can be used in three ways:
Firstly, you can search for map pins – which are walks already planned or already walked – click on a pin to read what the Church’s or Christians in that location are planning or what has already been done there.
Secondly, you use it to ‘sign up’ to be involved in this project. Simply search for your church / street / postcode and find yourselves on the map, then click on the big blue + button to “Add Location”, click on the map to drop the ‘pin’, and then fill in the requested details in the pop up screen. That will start the process of you signing up and adding your walk into the project.
Thirdly, you can use the big blue + button to record unplanned walks where you have ‘prayed as you went’. If you walk to work one day, are walking on holiday, find yourself out with the kids or grandchildren taking them to school – claim the land for God as you walk, ask his blessing on it and place a pin with details of what you have prayed for when you get home – or do it on your phone there and then.
The box at the bottom of the Add Location pop-up box marked ‘Walk description’ is where you can give some detail of where you plan to walk or have walked and what you prayed for. The box at the top marked ‘Your Name / Group / Church’ will identify who you are on the map pin.
In all cases you need to click the button at the bottom of the pop up window “Post your Prayer Walk Map Pin” or your details will not be saved and submitted.
The map pin will not appear immediately after you submit it. That’s because we need to validate the publishing of the pin to make it live which we will do as soon as we can. Your pin should appear within a couple of days, but if it’s not there after a week or so then please feel free to contact us using the Contact Us page.
Once you’ve dropped your pin on the map checkout What’s Next.
