What sort of walk?
We’re simply encouraging Churches / Christians to go out and about for a walk – across their village, town or city and out into the countryside – and to pray and declare the ground as belonging to God, every step welcoming Jesus presence to this place. It might be short, or long. In your village or town or out in the fields and woods.
We’re also encouraging churches to connect with one another locally, and across denominations – so a church may agree to go for a walk and meet up with a church coming the other way – in this way more ground can be covered, and more connections made.
It also does not have to be a stand alone event. You might already be planning something during 2026 in which case could you link a walk into what you are already planning.
Your church might already be doing this, in which case please carry on and it would be great to have you connected into Across Britain so we can link what you’re doing with other churches in your area and encourage others to do the same.
What route should we take?
There is no set route – we are leaving that with God and we are saying to Christians everywhere – rise up! Declare your land – and let us know by marking it on the map.… we believe that the areas claimed will gradually link up so we can cover the entire country.
